Scooters for Head Start Three's

Help me give my students scooters so they can play outside on the blacktop. They have some trikes, but there is not enough for everyone to ride at the same time. Scooters will allow everyone to play together!

My Students

I teach in a public school in Southern Maryland that also has a Head Start program. Our school has a program that is full day for both three and four year olds.

My students are a rambunctious group of 17 three year olds!

They are always active and energized to be at school. They love to play outside, sing, dance, and share their art with their teachers and families.

Many of my children come from homes where there is limited space and resources for them to play and explore. My goal is to provide them with an amazing school experience to help foster the love of learning at such a young age.

My Project

Having some more resources to use with the children when we are outside would be great. There are only enough trikes for about half of the class. My students would love to all play together, but during this time we have to separate them because we don't have enough vehicles for everyone to play with.

Scooters are a great way for us to allow all the students to participate and ride together during outdoor play.

These three year old kids need to play and exert their energy to better help them learn and grow. Please consider supporting our classroom with a gift of exercise, play, and memories they will cherish for years to come!
