This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As I'm going into my 5th year of teaching I am trying to find more and more ways to give my students the education they deserve. Most of my students come from poverty and have little to no resources for themselves. School does not just include, math, science, reading, and writing. It also includes physical education.
Just because my students may not live in the best neighborhood does not mean they shouldn't have the same resources as someone who does live in a good neighborhood.
But in order to do that I need some help. I want to give my students everything they deserve and more!
My Project
Scooters are fun at any age. Except after 2nd grade, it gets harder to ride on the smaller ones that are used for the younger grades. This year I have had so many students ask me if I can get bigger scooters so they can play too! Not only are scooters fun, but they also strengthen your leg and arm muscles as well as your abdominals. My students who are in 4th grade missed out on almost a year of scooter play because of the pandemic! So PLEASE help me make it up to them!
