My Students

Think about what physical education should look like for 72-88 students at a time! We are in need of a few items to get us through the school year. Statics show that physically active kids do better academically in school and we all want our kids to be successful both in school and out of school.

We have 463 students that consist of a diverse background here in the state of Florida.

They range in ages 5-11 years old. While our school is a high functioning school and ranks well in the state of Florida, funds for our P.E. program are almost non-existent. Many times our kids do without or make do with equipment that is worn out and broken. Often times students have a difficult time waiting for equipment because our groups are quite large (72-88 students). Some days students wait patiently but don't get to play because our students have 30 minutes of P.E. daily and they run out of time.

My Project

I am requesting 1 parachute, 1 bowling pin set, and 2 balls to replace torn and worn out equipment that will be beneficial to use all year long. With the equipment purchased, my students will be engaged in physical activities that will include fine and gross motor skills. These skills are essential for all students to be able to perform a variety of physical activities. Some of the skills that they will master are running, walking, throwing, and crawling to mention a few.

No matter how big or small a donation, my kids and I will be so grateful.

Watching my students engaged in an activity while learning lifelong skills is a huge deal. The smiles on their faces say it all!
