My Project
I love my students at South Charleston Middle School because they are passionate, determined, and eager to learn. Many of them come from a low-income community, and opportunities for extracurricular activities are limited. Despite these challenges, they bring enthusiasm and a unique drive to everything they do. Starting an Esports club will allow them to engage in something they are truly excited about, and it will provide them with a sense of purpose and belonging.
The headsets and mousepads will make a significant difference in their learning by providing essential tools for team communication and precision during gaming competitions.
The headsets will ensure clear communication, helping students collaborate effectively, while the mousepads will enhance their accuracy and control. These items not only improve their gaming experience but also teach valuable skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic thinking—skills they can apply in the classroom and beyond.
My goal for this project is to provide our students with the resources they need to succeed in the Esports club and beyond, especially by helping them discover scholarship opportunities in the growing field of Esports. What makes my students special is their resilience and determination to overcome obstacles, and with your support, we can help them unlock their full potential.
