My Project
My Design Crafts students love the variety of 3-D projects and materials we use in my classroom – from felt and yarn to duct tape and cardboard–we cut it ALL up! But after a decade of heavy use and spectacular crafting, my classroom supply of scissors finally needs replacing!
My first project of the school year depends on a functioning pair of scissors that cuts with ease, so that my students can shape a coil of yarn into a perfectly sculpted orb for their Pom Pom bookmark.
And, scissors are essential to so many more of our Design Crafts projects, like when students make beautiful roses and craft wallets made from thick duct tape "fabric", or when they construct cardboard models of Cookie cottages to test out a design for their graham cracker Cookie cottage.
Scissors are true workhorses in our classroom, and having access to ones that cut easily makes crafting so much more fun, and keeps frustration at bay! Please help deliver a working pair of scissors for each of my students so I can ensure that every student has an essential tool they need to succeed in Design Crafts.
