Why do vehicles move? How do helicopters rise into the air? What happens when you pour liquid? from a skinny tube into a wide tube? What happens when you mix two different solutions together? What happens when you mix two different colors of liquids together?
Pre-kindergarteners have so many questions about the world they live in, and science is at the root of many of those questions--right now, while their curiosity is at a pique, is a perfect time to introduce them to ideas of physics and the science behind the questions they have about how our world works.

Your donation to this project will give these students a variety of ballon launchers that give students hands-on experiences with creating forces to make objects move. It will provide helicopter propellers that will demonstrate the forces needed to give an object lift so that it can fly, and it will give them test tubes, droppers, and graduated cylinders so that these young scientists can pour, measure, and explore the wonders of the natural world! The test tubes and graduated cylinders will make science fun with hands-on activities that encourage experimentation, observation, and analysis. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn basic scientific concepts, and perform simple experiments using common classroom materials. The wet wipes will give us a tool to keep the materials and workspaces clean and tidy before and after work periods.
