My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I work with students who are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am determined to give my students the best education possible. My students are eager to learn, and I want to provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences. It is my job to find ways to expose my students to information and resources that will help them succeed in school and in life.
My Project
My students desperately need a nonfiction science library. A science library will allow my students to further explore essential science concepts with nonfiction texts that are aligned with the concepts that I teach in the classroom. These nonfiction materials will make concepts easier to grasp and understand while fostering my students' love for reading.
Please help me expand my nonfiction classroom library and my students' knowledge of the real world. They love exploring, investigating, and experimenting during science class. They are scientists in training. A science library will give my students so much more insight into the world around them.
