My students need aquariums and terrariums to help them visualize and understand how ecosystems, habitats work, how living organisms need non living objects in order to survive no matter the size or place.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students come from low socio ecomic backgrounds and have not been exposed to different experiences in life. Some have never been to the beach, a lake or a river and it is hard for them understand some of the 5th grade science concepts. My students are eager to learn. They love coming to Science classs, they dream about beign the next inventor.
They are very special, they want to be challenged, and they inspire me to give them more everyday!!
My Project
Please help me expand my student’s scientific skills by observing science in real life.
Having these requested Mini-Kit, Island Eco, and Seaquarium Sea terrariums in class will give them the hands-on experience and observational skills needed to spark their curiosity.
The goggles will help them in becoming scientists while they work. Currently, we have approximately eight goggles that we share with the entire school and they need to be constantly cleaned and some are falling apart! By getting the goggles every one of my 5th students will have the opportunity to feel like a real scientist and to bring curiosity altogether.
