My Students
My students receive free hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many of my students are English Language Learners. They come from households where English is a second language. At home, the English language is rarely spoken, making it challenging for my students to learn and practice the English language. My classroom also services students with disabilities such as children with autism, ADHD, and speech or language impairments.
My classroom is a place for my diverse students to feel safe, accepted, and treasured.
That is my mission as a teacher.
My Project
My students are in an early childhood public school setting. My students have IEPs and require visuals and hands-on materials to help them understand content. This is my first year teaching as a science teacher. These materials will help engage my students to learning science content. The requested materials are hands-on and fun for them to use.
At a young age, students should be introduced to the world around them through science.
These materials will help my students become more aware of their environment. The requested materials will ensure students learn in a fun and engaging way.
