Scientific Model of Legos

Help me give my students some Legos and play-doh to be creative and build models.

My Students

My students are amazing. My students come from many different cultural and economical backgrounds. Over 50% of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunches.

We have a variety of different learning styles to cater to.

Many of our students are English Language Learners and have communication barriers to overcome. We have a high percentage of special needs students that need extra help. Many of our students have difficult challenges that they face every day, but they still have the desire to learn and do their best.

My Project

Who doesn't love playing with Legos and play-doh? My students love being able to use their hands to create and build things. In science, models are very important and useful to help students understand complex processes and concepts. When students have the ability to create their own models, they gain a better understanding of the concepts they are trying to learn.

These materials will provide more opportunities for my hands-on learners to gain a better understanding of various scientific concepts by building their own models.

My student will love building models of the following:

- Cells

-Molecules

-Atoms

-Chemical Reactions

-DNA

-Genetics

-Ect. Ect. Ect.
