My students need Science materials to help increase their understanding of abstract concepts and the world around them.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students present as being on the autism spectrum but they are all wonderful and brilliant. These science materials will help to capture their imagination and continue them on the path of lifelong learning.
The students in my classroom are young learners who present as atypical learners on the autism spectrum.
They are highly active but have become more focused and they are interested in everything. They are always asking 'what' and they are beginning to understand 'how' and 'why'. These materials will help them understand more abstract concepts and access their full potential.
My Project
The magnifying glasses, agate light table slices, and let's see nature collection will compliment the light table that was just ordered for my room. The droppers and graduated cylinders will be used in the water table to help the students understand measuring concepts and adding and subtracting. The other resources will be used during floor play and will help to increase a academic skills as well as social skills such as dramatic play. The materials will provide experiential learning and allow the students to answer questions that go beyond 'what' something is, to 'why' it is or 'how does it work'.
Please help my students to achieve greatness.
They are already showing so much promise and it is my belief that they will go on to accomplish great goals in society. They all enjoy school and love to learn. Your donation can help these wonderful students achieve at levels they never thought possible.
