This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My pre-k students are very eager to discover the world. This field trip to the California Science Center will be a great start in their adventures.

My three- and four-year-old pre-k students are very enthusiastic learners.

We are at a Title I school with a very high percentage of students and families living in low income homes. Most of my students are English Language Learners. As their teacher, it is my job to create excitement in their daily routines at school in order to make their school experience fun and worthwhile.

My Project

Field trips serve as my main tool in teaching my students about the world beyond school. A trip to the California Science Center will give them the opportunity to go on an adventure and learn about butterflies. They will be engaged in several hands-on activities that teach them about life-cycles of animals that undergo metamorphosis.

In the words of John Dewey, "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." Your donation to this project will give my students the adventure and experience that they will remember for years to come.

It will open up their thirst for knowledge about the world leading to their own quest for adventures!
