My Students

My students have never had an easy time learning math. They are freshmen in high school taking Pre-Algebra. Our town is located in a rural part of Oregon about 20 minutes NW of the biggest city in our state. Our community is filled with hard working, blue collar families and the town is very tight knit and always supporting high school students.

These math students will continue to need more help to keep them moving in the right direction.

Along with being their teacher, they have three other adults in the classroom to assist them with their work. Many of these students are on specific education plans. They are great kids but will need as many resources as possible to continue to move down the road of success in math.

My Project

We will be using these calculators every day in math class! My students are on specific educational plans that require different assistance to help them in class. Along with four teachers in the room, they need resources to encourage their learning is moving forward.

These calculators will give each student the power to check their work and feel confident in math class.

Currently, we do not have any calculators in class and many of the students cannot afford to buy their own. This donation will give a calculator to each student in class and help in so many other ways!
