My Students

My 6th-grade students are amazing! I have a diverse class that would truly benefit from some amazing help in our classroom. I live in a suburban area with a lot of apartment housing in Utah. During this difficult COVID time, I'd like to help get more individual supplies for kids to use.

I really enjoy being with and learning from my amazing 6th graders!

They inspire me to become a better teacher each year. I have a class composed of extremely creative thinkers! I also have many who excel in reading, yet require consistent reading challenges to help them move forward!

It would be amazing to have our project funded so we can get more supplies to help us learn! My kids need a strong science base so that we can incorporate it into both reading & writing.

My Project

My students will be able to access this AMAZING informative magazine both online AND at school! My students are asked to learn how to summarize informational text, and often struggle with that because they do not find the texts they are asked to read very interesting. My students need colorful, exciting text to help promote both their love of reading and of writing.

Having this magazine both in digital & print formats will ensure that my students have access to fun, informative writing to enjoy for years to come.

I want my students to learn to love writing, and it all starts through becoming engaged with fun text!
