Help me give my students science informational texts in Spanish and English to support our weather and natural hazards unit.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Tull's classroom raised $294
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The books requested in the project are in Spanish and English, and will help my students learn about natural hazards. Students will work in groups to engage in research about a natural hazard of their choice. Students will write/draw their information and teach the rest of the class about their natural hazard. These books will help my students learn about natural hazards around the world and in some of their native countries.
After learning about how weather and natural hazards and factors are correlated, mys students will engage in a series of hands-on experiences to deepen their understanding of how weather affects our lives.
Students will apply their knowledge by designing a solution that reduces the impact of a flood.
As you can see, these books are an essential piece to our upcoming science unit!
