Science Virtually Makes Up Everything

I need an Apple MacBook Air 13.3 to complete tasks at home and in school. As a full-time science teacher balancing online learning calls for more devices. Mac allows for programs for more virtual labs.

My Students

I teach 5 sections of 6th grade science. This year 2 virtual with all the students being remote and 3 sections of in-person learning. I am a natural motivator, a competition seeking, driven teacher. I like to refer to my classroom as a positive and outgoing learning environment. The roles are often reversed where students become the teacher. My classroom is very hands-on whether it is in-person learning or remote!

My Project

As a science teacher, there is such an importance for students to continue to wonder. Through a MacBook, I can find applications that other computers simply do not have. I can record myself performing labs and edit them when need be. I can create virtual labs for students so they have the chance to become the scientist that they know they are.

Science virtually makes up everything.

As a woman in science, I know how important it is to keep the current generation growing and building. Students learn by doing. By creating more virtual labs students can feel that this new normal we are in is not so bad after all.
