Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
STEM education is broad and covers many topics spanning the academic curriculum. One way to hook our middle school special education students is to incorporate stem into what they love most.... MUSIC. Musical engineering/production is a science that requires students to deal with the technical and mechanical aspects of sounds, sound waves, and decibels. Engineering music interconnects science and math. Creating music requires students to use their math skills because music requires students to understand how to count notes so they fit within the measures while keeping time and tempo. Coordinating beats, rhythms, and melodies is essential to music production and can be equated to computer coding. Lastly, music production can help our students seek other digital software platforms and hardware that broaden their musical interests.

represent a crucial source of support, academically and socially, empowering our students to appreciate science, math, and technology so that it stimulates their interests in the STEM fields while allowing them opportunities to explore their creativity.
