My Students
I teach a rambunctious, high-spirited, and inquisitive group of Kindergarteners. My students come to school each day motivated and eager to engage in new learning experiences.
For many of my students, this is a place where they can step outside of their comfort zone, explore the world around them, and take risks as learners.
As their teacher, it is my role to foster their love for learning, to build their confidence, and to support their academic, social, and emotional needs in order to ensure their success.
My Project
Our kindergarten classroom is in need of STEM materials. The goal of a STEM classroom design is to inspire students to think, innovate, and research. We are hoping to add magnetic tiles, building blocks, legos, interlocking discs and constructing straws to our learning space. Once in place, these items will allow us to create an environment in which we can explore the STEM field to its maximum potential with students learning through hands-on activities.
By transforming our kindergarten classroom into one that is centered around STEM, our classroom will foster a positive learning environment that will allow kindergarten students to problem solve, collaborate, create, test ideas, and build with their hands.
