This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will use toy cars to answer the question of which will travel farther – a car on its own, or a car with mass added to it? My students will use plain cars to form a hypothesis. They will learn about inertia and momentum, “mass in motion.” In other words, the amount of momentum an object has depends on both its mass and its speed. Students will make hypothesis, conduct experiments and gather proof.

Students will learn through hands-on activities that will foster a lifelong love of learning in my students.
