This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This laptop will help me create a station in my classroom that promotes Earth Science learning through online simulations and design programs by helping students create models of the Universe and Earth's systems. Many engaging platforms can only be accessed online and programs like adobe & photoshop operate more effectively on a Macbook. My school has major emphasis on fashion and design and with that being said, my students are artistic and imaginative. Science is not always a subject they value as much as the arts subjects. This new device will be used to generate student engagement as they will have a device where they could explore or create models to give them a hands-on experience.
Additionally, the laptop will be utilized to differentiate lessons by providing an option for students to watch content videos, revisit slides for practice, play educational games and translate material.
