My students are an inspiration; each day they push me to be a better teacher. I love that they get so excited to learn and try their best each day. They come to school eager to learn and rise to meet my expectations I have for them. They make me proud and laugh each day with questions and comments.
My classroom is diverse with students from various backgrounds creating a classroom where we enjoy learning about each other and from each other in multiple ways.
I have parents who support our school and volunteer when they are able, thus creating a positive environment for learning. I love my school's community.
My Project
My students are excited to learn every day; each day that I come to school, I am asked questions about how the world around them works. With our state implementing a new science curriculum, I have the opportunity to build a science plan that allows for them to experiment and question their knowledge.
With the right opportunities, any student can become a scientist.
As a team, we hope to foster a love of science in our 4th grade classes. I have asked for an electricity tub, solar system tub, palm pipes, a slinky, tuning forks, and other various supplies. With the experiment kits, I hope to allow them to fully immerse themselves into science and learn how it really works. I would like to provide chances to learn how to create circuit, observe space, and experience sound. With all of these supplies, I believe they will have the best chance they can to truly learn all they need to in our 4th grade classroom.
With all these supplies, I have no doubt that a love for science can be cultivated in my classroom and within our 4th grade. I hope with these supplies and opportunities my students will continue to ask the questions that will propel them to academic success throughout their lives.
