Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Science students come alive when they can use the latest technology to access curriculum. So many more options are available to teachers that help students learn an array of concepts. We need our students to technologically literate.
My students are a diverse group of wonderful teenagers that are eager to learn.
The district has many low income families that deserve the best education for their kids as all of us do. Science has always been a favorite subject in the 13 years I have been at the school. Over the years I've tried to introduce new technology to the classroom and school as it became available. The students get incredibly excited about learning when lessons can incorporate the latest technology.
My Project
We have some motion, temperature, and other sensors that can connected to a laptop to analyze physical and life science experiments, now we need a laptop. We also have a set of qwizdom remotes to review and learn using PowerPoint slide shows. Students also come in at lunch to learn multimedia production once a week.
I truly believe that to be competitive students must have a diverse learning experience that involves language and science practice in a variety of ways.
Access to science through technology has become essential in today's academic and professional world and a class computer would help get us there. Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
