My third graders are scientists, inventors, and engineers. They are natural problem-solvers, so I believe in engaging them with activities that ask them to be challenged.
My students have the power to make a difference in the world.
I believe that they can and do change the world every day. Their excitement about life and learning inspires me. My favorite thing as a teacher is to see my students light up with enthusiasm when they are given opportunities to engage in creativity and hands-on learning.
My Project
Books are what make learning come alive! This project is filled with engaging science, STEM, and citizenship books that will help students to dig deeply into the world around them. Some of the books are for reading aloud, and others are sets of books that can be used in small groups for guided reading lessons.
With access to intriguing books, students will become science sleuths and super citizens.
These books fit into our units on Mars, animals, citizenship, Colonial America, and Ancient Rome. With a focus on nonfiction, these books will help students to learn in a more authentic way, without having to use textbooks or worksheets.
