My students attend a Title I school that has a focus on Arts integration, aesthetic education and STEM. They thrive to know more about the world around them.
Many of the students have spent their elementary years reading about science and they want to DO science.
My students come in with the desire to question, explore and discover but don't always have the means to do so. My students often participate in labs about the science phenomenon around them and then transistion into whole group circles where they question and debate their findings.
My Project
Please help my students be able to work in an engaging environment as they go beyond reading about science to DOing science. By allowing the students to sit in stools instead of bulky chairs they can move about as they are discovering, questions and exploring different science phenomenon.
Scientists in my classroom are looking to enage in a collabarative environment where they can easliy transition from one activity to the next.
Scientists will be working collaboratively in groups on labs and then transistion to a "board meeting" where all students question the findings of their labs. Help me build a collaborative environment where my scientist can go on to be the future.
