This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My science scholars come from various backgrounds and experiences. By getting these binders and accessories, my students will be able to practice staying organized and manage their stress. Last year, I adopted the Organized Binder in my 9th-grade Biology classes and through the generosity of donors was able to provide three-ring binders for each student. This made it much easier for students to add and remove sheets from their binder. This binder was crucial to having structure within my class and improved their science learning. The binders became a study tool resource that students relied on during tests, reviews, and classroom learning. It was also a place for students to keep lab reports handy. Knowing that this system has proven to be successful, I am asking for the generosity of donors once again to supply new students with binders.

By being able to provide binder supplies for my students, we can help reduce the burden of any financial stressors that students and their families may face when buying school supplies.

By having enough binders and accessories for each student, I can provide enough for my entire two classes of 9th-grade Biology students and the dividers allow for the sections of the Organized Binder to be well kept. The pencils, stress stars, and squishies will allow for students to stay organized and manage their stress throughout the year. Students in past years have asked for fidgets like these to help calm their nerves especially during tests. Thank you for considering my project!
