This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Science Teacher in the Bronx. My school is located in a low income community. Our school offers free lunch for our students everyday. I teach Science to Kindergarten and first grades. My students are so interested and excited about Science. I love seeing the looks on their faces when we are doing an experiment. The kindergarten and first grades are a wonderful bunch of children who have a desire to learn. I want my students to have all the resources they need to succeed.
My Project
The items I have chosen will help me to ensure that all of my materials will travel with me as I go classroom to classroom. No more materials left behind! The items will get us more organized and I will have more of a supply of paper to make the copies they need to record their scientific observations. The items that I have chosen will also help me teach the content to so many visual learners. Science is so fun and exciting! I want to keep my students engaged and ready at all times to work so it is important to have all of the supplies they need.
