My students are inspirational to me. They overcome difficulties daily to better themselves and show compassion to others continuously. My students have physical, cognitive, health, social, and sensory deficits that make learning in a typical classroom difficult and require special equipment, seating, and instructional materials.
Regardless of their difficulties, my students care for one another, want to help others whenever possible, are passionate learners, have inquisitive minds, and dream BIG.
My students give me hope for our future and encourage me to be a better, more compassionate person. I wouldn't trade the days I get to spend working to best meet their needs for anything!
My Project
My students enjoy science and have many questions about space, weather, animals, so forth. It is fun to watch them explore and learn.
With the leveled science readers through Scholastic, science becomes attainable for my students and they're able to explore their questions about the world and universe around them.
These books are at an appropriate reading level with great guided lessons and supplements that can help the students really understand what we're learning about and open doors to new questions and new interests.
I greatly look forward to seeing my students grow in their learning and to continue developing their love for science and reading.
