Some face hardships at home that could impede their learning, but they all come to school wanting to learn, be successful, and make friends. We support each other to help everyone meet goals and discover new ideas.
My Project
My students need instruments in our classroom to help us explore rhythm, culture, and sound. Our school has a STEAM focus. These instruments are perfect for enhancing the “A” for the Arts in STEAM to add music. First graders study sound for science and that sound is caused by vibrations. The instruments would be an amazingly fun way to discuss sound and also see it in action! These supplies also add culture and learning about our world for social studies. My first graders would enjoy discussing the different sounds each instrument creates. We will use the instruments to mimic sounds of animals or other things such as stomping in books we read. These would be some of our favorite activities and they would definitely be digging the good vibrations they can create!
