This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Huskies are superb students always excited to learn more. HES is a science of reading school and all teachers are getting trained with LETRS to ensure we get all students back on track. Since the students I work with are below grade level, we would like to work with students during small groups. Through small groups we will work with word building tiles to build a variety of words based on the different phonic skills we are learning. The iPad will be used for students to practice reading passages as well as recording themselves reading so they may learn how to self-correct. In addition, students may earn iPad time to practice additional reading skills through a variety of reading apps. Whiteboard erasers will be used when we work on building sentences, which include words created from our building tiles.
