Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students. Our school is a Title I school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes. All of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunch. Most are English language learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances. I want to help these students in every way that I can in order for them to be successful in reaching their goal of developing their skills, and of course, have fun!
I have been closely following the Science of Reading based-research and strongly believe that this will help our students learn the foundation to help them to read!
I am requesting the Guided Phonics and Beyond Focus lessons curriculum books Units 2-4 because my students are soaring and I want to challenge them with new phonological skills. By providing these materials to my students, this will help their understanding and knowledge of the alphabet, sounds and words. These materials also can be used to differentiate each student’s learning. Thank you!
