My Project

As the STEM teacher for Kindergarten through 6th grade at my school, I have found one common thread among all my students is their love of science. I want to continue building their enthusiasm and the materials in this project will help me to achieve that goal.

The motion sensor and force and acceleration sensors can be used for a variety of cool experiments, while the scales and calipers will help us get accurate measurements.

As the sensors can be plugged into our Chromebooks, we can immediately see data from our experiments. One example would be testing different surfaces for friction. The measurements from the sensors will give real data that will make for better observations and understanding. The scales and calipers will help my students make accurate measurements in their data collecting, especially when we do our salmon dissections!
