Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My district just got a brand new science curriculum, and we do not have the appropriate materials to research the ideas with the kids. I would love to have a whole set of hands on experiments to use with my class. The kids would learn about weather, ecology, biomes, and rocks and minerals with much more interest and retention. They will learn how to care for and save our Earth, the importance of food webs and chains, and what stories rocks can tell us. Science is such a great subject, but it is difficult for the kids to learn it just from a textbook. Having concrete materials to help them grasp concepts will make science a much more meaningful encounter.
