I teach 6th grade English Language Arts to a great group of economically disadvantaged, ethnically diverse kids in Brooklyn, NY. Some of my students are either English Language Learners or are several years below a 6th grade reading level. I also have quite a few honors students who love a good challenge in the classroom. We work hard everyday to become better readers and writers. Sometimes that involves using Google Classroom, creating projects in groups or good old-fashioned reading of a novel that open the doors to another world.
