My students need a Forces and Motion kit to learn about how forces and motion work. My students need a Knex Vehicles Set to build a car to see motion at work.
A day in my classroom is interactive with hands-on projects. My students said to me with your last project, "Mrs. Tyler, I wish we could do all of our lessons like this!" That is why I try to purchase materials on my own, however, my funds are very limited, that is why I need your help.
Our school is very small.
We have approximately 190 students with 130 free or reduced lunches. We are a Title 1 school, with very limited funds. Our students live in rural areas, with most being transient students, of the Spanish background. My students are very well mannered and eager to learn. They get so happy when they see me bring out supplies for a hands-on project. I believe the hands-on learning provides an easier platform for the English Second Language students to learn.
My Project
The students will be able to build cars with KNEX materials to see how force and motion works utilizing real world applications. The Force/Motion kit will allow the students to engage in several different activities to build knowledge in Science. Utilizing this new knowledge with the kit, will allow the students to apply the knowledge to real world applications with the various materials in all kits.
This project will make a huge difference in my student's lives by giving them a hands-on activity in order to learn how force/motion works in the real world, and apply them to real word applications.
