My Project
In fifth grade, one of our science standards is about chemical reactions. The experiments we want to do involve a lot of ingredients/materials.
Have you ever combined vinegar and baking soda?
Do you remember that reaction/explosion? These materials will allow my students to experience this chemical reaction, and several more, in person. I can't wait to see their reactions as we watch the different chemical reactions in science. One of the projects even has my students making goo. Goo? In school? That's got to be a first, but in the name of science, we will make goo.
Science has been a lot of fun this year. From learning about volcanoes to food webs, and now, chemical reactions. Science is a favorite subject for many students and I know this upcoming science unit won't be any different.
