This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My little scientists want more! I am wanting to "beef up" the science center activities in my classroom. My students love the hands on learning and explorations that the center provides. I want to promote their learning to the max by also incorporating reading and writing within the activity.

My students are in a dual language school in Texas.

The school is a Title 1 school. I have turned to DonorsChoose to help supplement the needed materials the school is not able to afford. My darling 4 and 5 year olds are learning English and Spanish. They have fun working with their "buddy" exploring science concepts and developing their oral language skills in English and Spanish.

My Project

The activities that I have chosen incorporate reading and writing with plenty of science exploration. I want students to get excited about science! The science themed activities are developmentally appropriate and are related to the science concepts they will learn about, eg. weather, magnets, colors etc.

This project is so important because it will help promote the love of science.

They will have fun while learning and become familiar with the work of scientists as they too work as scientists. I appreciate all those who have taken the time to read and donate to this project. Thank you!
