My Project
My students need great books to learn about science.
We study amazing things in second grade and we need thrilling literature for children to become immersed in their learning. Some of the topics we study, the students can walk outside and explore on their own. Other topics, like the water cycle, are very difficult to observe within our classroom.
Students need to be able to hold the books and read about these amazing phenomenon!
Our science focuses on the water cycle. We will be learning about water and the many places we can find it on Earth. We also talk about freshwater vs. salt water and which one we can drink. Students will then learn about the water cycle and how our water is recycled through the atmosphere over and over again.
We will also be studying plants this year! We will learn about all the different kinds of plants and their life cycles. The students will be planting seeds in our garden and harvesting our very own vegetables to try! The books are an inspiring way to introduce plants that may not grow in our environment.
Help us bring the world into the palm of our hands!
