Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredibly hardworking and love to learn, but they really thrive when they are able to interact with and truly "see" the content we study.
This is where the microscopes and reading books come in; right now, our junior high students only have ONE microscope.
One class of students can range anywhere from 25 to 35 students, and having one microscope is simply not enough to allow each student time to learn like a scientist. The books will allow students to practice some abstract reading concepts in a more concrete manner.
Additionally, the dice, and Play-Doh will allow me to provide my students with fun and engaging ways to show their learning.
