My students need a color printer and a replacement drum to provide them with images, diagrams, and charts, in color, to enhance their science learning experience, as scientists-in-training.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lu's classroom raised $552

My Students
My students are eager young scientists that cannot wait to dive their minds into hands-on activities each day. So many of my students learn through the use of diagrams and images. They are captured by the use of colored charts and pictures, to enhance their STEM driven curriculum.
These young minds are 6th-graders from Brooklyn, NY.
They are highly motivated students excited about the world of science. With such a diverse group of learners, providing them with various entrance points to a topic is crucial. So many students struggle with seeing the differences in the picture, because there are no distinct color variations.
The school is a welcoming environment, that encourages higher-level learning, while supporting the students at every step. The school houses over a thousand middle school students, who come from different ethnic backgrounds. In order to strengthen their learning experience, I want my students to utilize all the possible resources I can provide for them, as they work in groups with their peers.
My Project
Providing my students with colored diagrams to use during labs, gallery walks, and activities will help my students learn at a higher level.
With the limited printers in the school, printing has been a challenge. Often times, I print during the weekend at a local printing store, but having a printer in my classroom will allow me to provide students with even more diagrams, charts, and images during their daily hands-on learning experiences. Preparing my students for the world of STEM means allowing them to study key details that are crucial in the world of science.
My students will learn at a higher level, with colored documents to enhance their learning experience.
Having a printer in the classroom, especially a colored one, will allow me to incorporate more images, to help a variety of learners grasp science topics.
This will help my students see through color and make the world of science more vibrantly meaningful!
