This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are underprivileged inner-city youth who face many life challenges. I love my student's energy, will to learn, inquisitiveness and spark. They teach me about their cultures and their community. They are special because they are adventurers. They thrive to learn academics while some simultaneously ern a second language. They shine greatly as they share their customs, cultures, food, and diversity.
In my science classroom, they are thoughtful, creative, and inquisitive
They absolutely love hands-on, active, inquiry-based, engaging projects that challenge them and at the same time make them think outside the box to find solutions in the real world. They come to school every day with a big smile and are ready to learn something new. They are my inspiration!
My Project
The materials I chose for this project will help my science students in creating models which are based on real-world scenarios. They will be able to make connections from my classroom to the outside world using the color printer and markers.
Inquiry-based projects and models are what make science fun and interesting.
Students will grasp the concepts and will have fun at the same time as they make connections to the world they live in. The posters of famous scientists will keep them motivated and focused at all times. I am really excited for this school year and am ready to welcome my students next week.
