This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a group of energetic, creative, eager learners. They come from a predominantly low economic background. Over ninety-five percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is a safe haven for many of the students since it's the only place many receive consistency along with a daily routine of learning.
My group of preschool students are excited about learning and just need a boost to help continue to motivate them.
The socioeconomic level of a student's family should neither determine the level of learning nor hinder creativity.
My Project
STEM science material will allow my students to increase their science reasoning skills. Material such as the STEM science station and Roll and Race Activity Ramp would allow my students to test and come up with creative ways to solve various problems. They will be able to draw conclusions and record data as well share with the class their outcomes. It will force them to think!
Students will explore, work together in small groups, and engage collaboratively with problem solving.
Hands-on experiments will help develop their problem solving as well as their critical thinking skills. This will allow my student to have FUN while they are being actively engaged in learning.
