My Students

I teach at a Title I school in Virginia. One hundred percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch alongside facing hardships that they encounter at home. Many are from broken homes where there is only one parent, severe family illnesses, or their siblings are more their caretaker.

My first grade babies make me smile each day and, with the right tools for teaching, they have the desire and ability to learn!

I am looking forward to building their background knowledge to help them become better readers, scientists, mathematicians, historians, and so much more to help them achieve their goals and go to first grade!

My Project

Science is Amazing! Help my scholars get hands on engaging learning centers to help provide them with essential skills and knowledge to the science curriculum. The learning centers will provide activities for multiple students to experience in whole and small group settings. The Can Do cans of science will help with whole group instructional materials to help the students get engaged and hooked into Science. My students need the hands on activities to help them grasp the concepts! Help turn my 1st graders into little scientists and explorers! Thank you!
