My Students

Life is a challenge in general for kids, but my students face challenges daily that many never have to face. My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of my students receiving free breakfast and lunch.

Despite life's challenges, my students walk into the classroom full of life, ready to learn, excited for what is in store for them each day.

They are resilient and brave. My students face each day with an eager heart to belong, feel loved, and make the most of their day.

My Project

Despite the incredible challenges that my students face in their day to day lives, they come eager and excited to learn. Science notebooking is an excellent way for my students to be fully engaged in their learning and take ownership of their education.

As a district, we do not have Science textbooks, so it is vitally important that I teach and train my students to become scientists themselves through notebooking.

Making observations, taking notes, drawing diagrams, collecting data, and making predictions are all important to the scientific process. Your donation of notebooks, glue, pens, highlighters and colored pencils will provide my students with the essentials needed to create a reference tool that will be used throughout the year in Science.

Students in my class are motivated and determined to reach their highest potential. Teaching notebooking is a lifelong skill that will come in handy throughout their lives as they further their education.

My students face challenges that many do not. Having basic supplies for Science notebooking keeps my students focused on learning and creates confidence in their ability to take charge of their learning. Donating the supplies will keep my students from worrying about unimportant things and motivate them to do their best in school.
