Science Gurus Needs Dissection Sets to Practice and Improve Learning

Help me give my students classroom dissection sets. They are hardworking and inquisitive science genius. Each group need dissection kit to learn and master the tools for specific dissection. The school demography is diverse with low income parents.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The requested dissection kits will enhance hands-on activity effectively by providing each student group with a kit. The kit will enable students to easily identity the tool necessary for specific dissection unlike the general set we have currently. The dynamic double cart would be essential in organizing the lab materials, students' folders and cleaning supplies for each group. It is challenging presently to organize lab supplies and students works. Also the printer will be tremendously appreciated as we encounter difficulties in printing lab worksheet, colorful pictures of specimen that helps to clarify the item and the parts of learning. The goal is to advance to a higher level of dissecting whole organisms.

Students are hardworking and strive to use good critical thinking ability to explore specimen, structures (anatomy), functions (physiology) and answer the instructional questions.

Therefore, lack of the requested materials has been a set back to STEM learning in my class. We go to other class to print documents and share. Once we have our printer it will save time and reduce sharing. We constantly lose supplies due to lack of organization and group sets. It will be highly appreciated if you will support and fun our requested materials. The school has done their part and are unable to fund the project. Most parents cannot afford the cost of the STEM materials.

Scientists have been excited, exploring and striving to master their skills, knowledge, tools on hands-on activity and cannot wait to dissect an organism. Lack of supplies impacts their interest, participation as well as the learning. I feel honored and impressed with students who are interested to learn STEM especially science. I dedicate my time, energy, skill and knowledge to support them. Please help to bridge the gap on minority STEM students with your funding support. Thank you.
