This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are like little sponges. They are eager to learn and excited about what is in store for them each day. I teach in Pride, Louisiana. My students are from low income families. All students in my class of 20 receive free breakfast and lunch.
This year my students are low income families with very little resources in their homes, but they come in filled with love for one another and an excitement to learn.
With these new learning materials my class will be drawn into the center where learning will be more fun.
My Project
We will use these materials to make the science center more interesting and fun. When you put out new materials for children to explore. These materials will draw them in and they will begin to explore new things from their environment in their classroom. They will use the globe to inform them of information about the world. They will use the Binoculars to view things they are unable to see with their eyes. The X-rays and table slides will be used on our light table to explore things in our world, and the stethoscope to hear each others hearts beat.
