Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom are brilliant! In order to tap into their natural curiosity of the world around them I need materials that will help them better understand how the world works.
The preschoolers in my classroom are enthusiastic, energetic and extremely intelligent.
Although they present as students on the autism spectrum, we are able to have conversations about a myriad of topics. For example, we have been learning about many scientific concepts such as planets, simple machines, light, dinosaurs and different types of animals. They are constantly seeking out new information and asking questions about everything.
My Project
These resources will provide hands-on experiences for many abstract concepts. One can describe how white light refracts into a rainbow, but unless my students can experience it for themselves, they will not truly understand all that they have learned. It is my belief that my students are destined for greatness as they all have a strong desire to learn. All of these resources will help them channel their inner-scientist.
The materials I am requesting will continue to pave the road to life-long learning that all my students are currently following.
Learning should be an enjoyable experience and your donation will make an incredible difference in the lives of my students.
