This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Science Family nights are a great opportunity for the school community to celebrate, play and learn about science.

A Science Family Night can have a significant impact on students and parents.

It can ignite a passion for science and engineering through engaging activities, making these subjects more appealing and relevant. Hands-on experiments and interactive exhibits promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enhancing math proficiency in the process. We are requesting chart paper, Straw Connector STEM toys, popsicle sticks and more.

This event encourages parental involvement, creating a bridge between home and school. Parents who engage with their children at the event are better equipped to support their learning and instill a positive attitude toward math and science. Using the books to introduce students to a wide range of STEM careers, will help them set future goals and see the practical applications of math and science in the real world.

In addition to academic benefits, a Science and Engineering Community Night creates a fun and enjoyable learning environment, boosting students' self-confidence in math and science. In all, this event has the potential to improve critical thinking and math proficiency while promoting a lifelong love for these subjects.
