My Students

The Mastery School is a charter school located in North Minneapolis. The school serves students who receive 100% free and reduced lunch. Students come to school each day eager to learn and ready to work hard. I teach the 4th grade girls class. Being in an all girls setting allows for us to become a tight knit class, more like a family and we have form a sisterhood.

I want my girls to leave each day feeling empowered, enabled and engaged in their learning and their education.

My Project

Every year the 4th graders spend time digging deep into the scientific method. They get to design their own science experiment and conduct it. They have to create a display board showing the steps of the scientific method.

This is a highlight of the students school year and monumental in their science content foundation.

I want to be able to provide my students with high quality boards to display their high quality work, rather than dollar store boards. These boards are out of my price range and my student's prices range. It would be a treat to be able to use these this school year.
