My Project

I come to you again on behalf of the students at Dearborn STEM Academy. Since our last science fair Donors Choose project, so many more students have shown interest in science fair--that is all because of donors like you. I cannot begin to explain how the interest of youths in STEM will affect their interest in school, their successes in various fields later in life, and their academic skills.

As we all know, STEM is extremely valuable, and thanks to donations like yours to our previous project, even more DSA youths are interested in learning about science and creating science fair projects.

Because of this uptick in interest amongst students, we are coming to you all again for donations so that our students might be able to fulfill their projects. Science fair is time consuming and costly, and in order to make the playing field "fair and square", we need help from donors like you.

This project will directly help to fund the projects of students in the 7th grade and 8th grade at DSA. Some examples of their projects will be completing Arduino electronics, testing the rate of melting under a heat lamp, testing oxygen production of water plants in sealable containers, testing the differences in mascara based on their chemical composition when applied to false lashes on a silicone face mold, on land versus underwater volcanic explosions, does the chemicals in a reaction affect the height of the explosion, and how to build your own infinity mirror, among others.
