Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember your fifth grade class? Were you engaged in your learning or simply going through the motions? Imagine if everything you experienced in school was fun and engaging. How great would that be?!
My students are creative, curious, and have a desire to learn!
In our classroom, we utilize multiple learning strategies which include group work, flexible seating, and hands-on inquiry-based activities. Our classroom participates in Next Generation Science activities that deepen students' content knowledge and improve social and emotional learning.
My Project
This project is an effort to provide opportunities for my students to engage in science concepts through hands-on, problem-solving experiences.
This project will allow students to immerse themselves in science learning!
The products that I have selected for this project can be used across many lessons, units, and disciplines. Students will be introduced to problem and solution, coding, and working in collaborative groups through the use of Ozobots. The round bottom flasks will be included in different units focusing on matter, force and motion, and weather. Students will use the Snap Circuits to create a windmill that can produce electricity to power a light.
